Student Parking Exception Forms to Park on WST Campus

LONG-TERM PARKING EXCEPTION REQUEST

PURPOSE

West Sound Tech is undergoing a significant capital project over the next few years. While we are excited to begin the construction, it is going to temporarily impact WST parking. WST parking is being reduced by half while the new building is constructed. Since all sending schools provide busing transportation, we expect WST students to use the transportation provided by their school. We understand that there are many reasons students may want to drive to and park on campus, however, WST will not have capacity to accommodate all students that want to drive. This exception request is for students that must drive DAILY to campus.

**If you need a parking pass for a one-day situation, please complete the short-term parking exception request

POLICY STATEMENT:

Students attending WST are expected to utilize their sending school transportation options to travel to and from WST.

REQUESTS FOR EXCEPTION:

The goal of the exception request is to objectively evaluate student requests for exception, and grant or deny them as appropriate. Students who feel they have extenuating circumstances that may warrant an exception to the parking policy may submit a request to WST. Exceptions may include homeschool students and students attending session opposite district transportation time. Should parking spots open up WST will be able to increase the exceptions for students that were previously denied.
